Because we rescue food and also receive food from Second Harvest, this enables us to purchase food at about .18 per lb. so $5 can purchase food for about 10 meals. This will help children, elderly, working poor, disabled and the unemployed in this local area. 

YAS has and will use the funds wisely. YAS uses approx. 96 % of all money for the program costs directly. We have been given a GuideStar Exchange Seal for financial integrity. 

YAS continually need funds to continue to grow this greatly needed food pantry and community outreach program. We are a 501c3 corporation and can supply P&L's as well as an audited financial statement.

YAS has already raised funds through the effort of many donors in our community to install the absolutely necessary refrigerators. We have also received many generous donations such as a van, website, school supplies, and toys for the holidays. We creatively enlist the help of the community when we work outside the local grocery stores to request donations. This has been very effective in collecting the food we need at our current level. We have grown through the work ethic of many who volunteer their time, money, and creativity to make the community aware we are here to serve not in words but in deed and action.
