Thanksgiving Dinner Outreach
Holiday Thanksgiving Meal Outreach
The week of Thanksgiving, we pack grocery bags full of the collected ingredients for hearty dinners. Each bag includes a fresh or frozen turkey, canned vegetables, potatoes, yams, gravy, rolls, marshmallows, sugar, and a pie. In the year of 2008, we distributed over 400 full holiday dinners to low-income families and group homes in our local community for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. In 2009 we gave away 650 dinners which is a 75% increase. For the past two years, we capped the program at 650 dinners. In 2010 and 2011, we distributed 650 full holiday dinners to low-income families and group homes for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
What if my family needs a turkey dinner ?
Then come to the Wednesday food distribution the last week of October, for the three consecutive weeks to sign up and get a ticket. Once you have a ticket come to the food pantry the day before Thanksgiving and get your dinner.
What are you thankful for?

How we collect the food
We stand in front of several local grocery stores
and when people go into the store, we share YAS
They get a flyer and bring out food donations
this makes the store, the volunteer collecting and the receiver..(needy)
Sometimes it gets cold during the holiday time
This is an opportunity for families to serve together
Just opened for donations!
